Alkansa Terms of Use
Last updated on October 1, 2026.
1. Who we are and what Alkansa is
Alkansa is an online service to create, review, schedule and publish carousels and posts on social networks. It is operated by Marcos Vinithius, in Portugal ("Alkansa" or "we"). Contact: contact@alkansa.app. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
To sign up you must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal capacity in your country. If you use Alkansa on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these Terms. Provide accurate information, protect your password and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. An account can bring together several people with different roles; the account owner is responsible for the people they invite.
3. Connected social networks
When you connect a social network, you authorize Alkansa to access that account through the network's official APIs, only to publish what you approve and to show you the result. Connect only accounts you manage or have written permission to manage. You can disconnect at any time in Alkansa or in the network's own settings.
Alkansa is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Threads), TikTok or LinkedIn. Each network's rules also apply to you. Networks may change their APIs and limits, reject posts or restrict accounts, and this is outside our control. On TikTok, you choose the visibility and allowed interactions of each post before publishing.
4. Review and publishing
Nothing is published without your approval: approving, publishing or scheduling is your instruction for us to publish. Before that, check the text, images, destination accounts and time. We do not guarantee reach, engagement, sales or acceptance by the social network. If a result is uncertain, check the network before publishing again, so you do not post twice.
5. Artificial intelligence
Alkansa does not use its own AI model to create your content. If you connect an AI assistant (for example, Claude, through the MCP protocol), it acts on your behalf, with the permissions you grant, under its provider's terms. AI-suggested content may contain mistakes: you review it and are responsible for what you publish. We do not use data from your social networks to train AI models.
6. Your content
The content you upload or create (texts, images, layouts, captions) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license only to store, process, render the images, show them to you and your team, and publish to the accounts you choose, for as long as needed to provide the service. You confirm you hold the necessary rights to everything you upload, including images, trademarks, fonts and people depicted.
The images of a post can be reached by anyone with their address, because social networks need to fetch them. Do not use Alkansa to store confidential material.
7. Layouts, templates and the platform
The layouts you create are private to your account. The software, the Alkansa brand and the official templates are ours; you may use them while you use the service, including copying official templates into your projects. Copying does not transfer third-party rights over trademarks, fonts or images. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the platform, or extract data from it in automated ways outside the tools we provide.
8. Acceptable use
Alkansa publishes through each network's official APIs and follows their rules. By using Alkansa, you agree to:
- connect only accounts you manage or have written permission to manage;
- publish only content you have the necessary rights to and that complies with each network's rules;
- not use Alkansa for spam, including posting the same content in bulk or at very high frequency, misleading content or content designed to inflate reach artificially, misleading links, fake or third-party accounts without permission, scams, fraud and pyramid schemes;
- not publish illegal, hateful or violent content, sexual content involving minors, content that infringes third-party rights or exposes personal data without a legal basis;
- not try to bypass the limits of Alkansa or of the networks, including by creating several accounts to add up limits, and not attack, overload or test the security of the service without permission.
Instagram, TikTok and the other networks have their own policies and technical limits against excessive posting, and act against accounts that go over them. To protect your account, every customer's and Alkansa's access to these networks, we limit the number of posts per social account every 24 hours and per month, according to your plan, always below each network's own limit.
9. Plans and payment
Alkansa has a Free plan and paid plans, with each plan's limits and features shown in My account → Plan.
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; Alkansa does not store your card details. Prices state whether applicable taxes (such as VAT) are included or added according to your country. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and the new price only applies from the following renewal; you can cancel before it. If a payment fails and is not resolved, the account moves to the Free plan under the rules in section 11.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in My account → Plan → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: you keep the plan until then, and the account then moves to Free without losing data.
On the first charge of a paid plan, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days by writing to contact@alkansa.app from the account's email. This period covers the right of withdrawal of consumers in the European Union and the right of regret under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. Renewals and periods already started are not refunded, except where the law requires it or a failure on our side prevents you from using the service.
11. Changing plans
When you move to a smaller plan, nothing is deleted. For 7 days everything keeps working, and we notify you by email and in the dashboard. During that time, you choose in My account → Plan which social accounts, projects and people stay active. If you do not choose, the oldest ones stay active. An inactive social account stays connected but does not publish or schedule; an inactive project does not receive new posts; an inactive person loses access to this account but keeps their own. Media above the limit stays stored, and only new uploads stop. When you move back to a bigger plan, everything becomes active again immediately.
12. Suspension and termination
If there are signs that these Terms are being breached, or if a social network reports abuse to us, we may suspend the account proportionately: publishing and new connections are blocked and nothing is deleted. We will tell you the reason by the account's email, and you can reply to clarify. Serious or repeated cases may lead to the account being closed, without prejudice to your rights over personal data.
You can delete your account at any time, as explained in Data deletion. If we discontinue the service or close your account through no fault of yours, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of the paid period.
13. Availability
Maintenance, interruptions, limits and changes in third-party APIs may occur. Unless a specific commitment has been contracted, there is no SLA for uninterrupted availability nor a guarantee of publishing at an exact instant. This does not remove legal obligations or commitments made in an offer. For critical campaigns, keep your own files and an alternative procedure.
14. Liability
External events are assessed according to their cause, prevention measures and mitigation duties. A supplier failure or an attack is not an automatic exemption. Nothing here excludes the rights of consumers or data subjects, security and notification duties, or liability that cannot be limited by law. You do not waive your right to complain or seek redress.
For those who use Alkansa as a professional or business, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount paid to Alkansa in the 12 months before the event, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service or the law changes. Material changes will be announced by email and in the dashboard at least 15 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they apply; in that case, the refund rules in section 10 still apply.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live and may go to the courts of your place of residence. First of all, write to contact@alkansa.app: we want to solve things directly. Consumers in Portugal may also use an alternative consumer dispute resolution entity, listed at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
17. Contact
